Join us on a guided day trip from Denver to Mount Blue Sky, formerly known as Mount Evans. The Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway is seasonal, and access depends on weather, road conditions, and available tour dates.
Our route begins at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, followed by a scenic drive through Clear Creek Canyon. We then stop in historic Idaho Springs, a town shaped by Colorado’s early gold rush, before continuing toward Mount Blue Sky. When conditions allow, planned stops include Echo Lake and Summit Lake.
Along the way, watch for bighorn sheep, mountain goats, marmots, birds, and alpine wildflowers. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but the route offers sweeping views of mountain peaks, alpine lakes, and high-country landscapes.

The route and planned stops may change when any section of the road is closed.

You may experience altitude sickness. Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to departure time.
